Responsibilities

4.2.1                Facilitates Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective meetings;

4.2.2                In conjunction with the Agile Team; Plans the next sets of Work Items for the next Sprint at the Sprint Planning based on the pre-defined Work Items workflow;

4.2.3                Forecast the number of deliverables such as Artifacts in an Iteration (Sprint);

4.2.4                Ensure that the Artifacts and other Products are delivered on time;

4.2.5                Ensures that all Artifacts achieved during the Sprint are presented at the Sprint Review;

4.2.6                Process conflict resolution amongst team members;

4.2.7                Communicate and makes sure that the Agile Team adheres to the Agile Principles and Standards set forward by Global Affairs Canada’s Subject Matter Experts;

4.2.8                Shield his/her Team from outside influences;

4.2.9                Tracks and removes impediments known as Roadblocks with the Agile Team;

4.2.10            Performs knowledge transfer to the Agile Team regarding Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing and Agile Games;

4.2.11            Performs knowledge transfer to the Agile Team regarding Work Items/Tasks, Backlog Tracking, Burndown, Metrics, Velocity, User Stories, Scale Agile Framework (SAFe), etc.;

4.2.12            Ascertainment, analyse, manage and resolve Risk related issues;

4.2.13            Produce Performance metrics and Progress monitoring reports;

4.2.14            Coach team members in Agile frameworks and guide the teams to higher levels of scrum maturity;

4.2.15            Manage project timelines, budgets, and maintain costs to remain within or under budget;

4.2.16            Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups;

4.2.17            Work with Product Owners to handle backlog grooming and new requests;

4.2.18            Work closely with software/web developers, architects, business analysts, designers, and the client's representatives to define the direction and approach to project design and execution;

4.2.19            Facilitate internal communications and be the point of contact with external stakeholders;

4.2.20            Estimate and track project velocity, costs, develop resource plans, and work to assess potential issues and risks;

4.2.21            Resolve conflicts, remove obstacles, and help teams implement changes effectively;

4.2.22            perform Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement);

4.2.23            Estimate project costs, set deadlines, and effectively manage teams of professionals to meet deadlines;

4.2.24            Mobile development, web development or multi-tech platform implementation;

4.2.25            Document roadblocks, bugs and other project issues, in the context of a business intelligence, data warehouse or analytics project;

4.2.26            Identify, analyzing and documenting project risks, for a business intelligence, data warehouse or analytics project.

 

 

Qualifications

That meets the SENIOR level with a minimum of 10 years of cumulative experience

Or

5+ years of experience with a recognized professional certification as defined in the TBIPS SA for the resource category (P.9) Project Manager.

 

Must demonstrate that the proposed Senior Project Manager resource holds certification.

 

 

An agile scrum master certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI),

 

Or

 

The Agile Alliance, or Scrum.org.

Must demonstrate using detailed project descriptions that the proposed SENIOR level Project Manager resource has Five (5) years of experience within the last Ten (10) years in an IM/IT environment as of bid closing performing the following task:

 

 

Producing Agile artifacts, including the sprint and product backlog, for a (business intelligence, data warehouse) or analytics project;

 

Must demonstrate using detailed project descriptions that the proposed SENIOR level Project Manager resource has minimum of Three (3) projects within the last Ten (10) years in an IM/IT environment as of bid closing performing the following task:

 

Documenting roadblocks, bugs and other project issues, in the context of a (business intelligence, data warehouse) or analytics project.

 

Must demonstrate using detailed project descriptions that the proposed SENIOR level Project Manager resource has minimum of Three (3) projects within the last Ten (10) years in an IM/IT environment as of bid closing performing the following task:

 

Identifying, analyzing and documenting project risks, for a business intelligence, data warehouse or analytics project.

 

MUST CURRENTLY HOLD VALID GOVERNMENT SECRET CLEARENCE
